Annapurna Base Camp Trek Location
Annapurna Base Camp is situated in the Annapurna Village Development Committee of Kaski district in Gandaki Province of Nepal. This is just 40 KM to the north of Pokhara.
The only way to trek to the Annapurna base Camp is through Pokhara. Trekkers need to take a short flight (30 minutes) or drive from Kathmandu (8 hours). This will be a 200 KM journey one way from the capital Kathmandu.
Upon reaching Pokhara, take an hour-and-a-half drive to Nayapul, the classical starting point of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. If you take a flight, you can start the trek on the same day. However, while driving from Kathmandu trekkers need to spend a night in Pokhara and start the trek the very next day.
