Ama Dablam Base Camp is a popular trekking destination for trekkers who prefer to be in the Everest Region of eastern Nepal. It is a unique trail leading you to one of the third most popular base camps of Mt. Ama Dablam 4,600 m (15,092 ft).

The trail is filled with colorful flora and fauna along with the mighty Himalayas and the most popular settlement of the Sherpa, the abode of the Himalayas, which is Namche Bazaar.

Ama Dablam literally in the local language means ‘Mother Necklace’. The mountain has such a lovely shape as if a mother is welcoming her children by spreading her arms. This will be an easy-going trek for those who lack time to be at the Everest Base Camp but prefer to be in the Khumbu Region to explore Mount Everest and the other Himalayas.

The mountain Ama Dablam rises with an altitude of 6,812 m (22,349 ft), making it one of the most viewed mountains while on the Everest trek and also one of the most magnificent mountains with its unique shape. Trekkers in this region will witness Ama Dablam mountain frequently during the trek.

Making it one of the most fascinating mountains since it was scaled on 13th March 1961 by a group of expeditions led by Sir Edmund Hillary. So, Ama Dablam Expedition (25 Days) is possible if you have some climbing experience and good stamina.

The highlight of the trek is not only to be at the Mt. Ama Dablam Base Camp, but to spend a night at the base camp itself will be a lifetime experience and the trial is an open site for every traveler to observe the culture along with the natural environment, vegetation, and the Himalayas.

The Sherpa’s’ hospitality, unique customs, and tradition will provide you with a new experience during the trek. Visiting the monastery, spinning the Mani (praying wheel), viewing the fluttering praying flag all the way, crossing the suspension bridges, etc will be the center of attraction.

With the diversity of the region, the trek will start with a cultural tour in the Kathmandu valley, and flying to Lukla will be an exciting one. Throughout the trail, the diversity of vegetation and landscape will astonish you before reaching Namche Bazaar the capital city of the Sherpas, accompanied by modern facilities like ATMs, Banking, Hospitals, Schools, etc.

A day extra for acclimatization in the Namche Bazaar will help you to hike to Everest View Hotel (3,880 m) and visit a museum nearby. With a couple of days' trek, you can reach Pangboche and then hike to Ama Dablam Base Camp.

During the expedition season, you will be able to spend time with the expedition group heading toward Ama Dablam.

Further, descending downhill, you will be at Lukla for your flight back to Kathmandu the capital city of Nepal.

Although the base camp of Ama Dablam is just 4600M, your journey will be towards the highest mountain on earth Mt. Everest. Visiting Ama Dablam Base Camp will take you to a lower altitude without fear of altitude sickness and further you can combine the trip towards Everest Base Camp.

Discover Altitude has a specially designed Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek 2025-2026 itinerary with frequent field visits by professional staff, who carry more than a decade-long experience; to make sure the program goes according to the itinerary mentioned below.

If you want to continue Everest Base Camp with combined Ama Dablam Base Camp, the possible best itinerary can be Everest Base Camp and Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek (16 Day)

For the convenience of our client minute detailed itinerary, cost, highlights, pictures, and the map have been provided. As it is an energetic trek in the Himalayas, the trekkers can visit this trail every season throughout the year. Regarding the Ama Dablam Base Camp Trekking Cost, it varies on the number of days and people.

Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek Difficulty

Ama Dablam which lies in the Everest region of Nepal is one of the most fascinating mountains in the entire Everest region. The trek and the trail to Ama Dablam Base Camp start after landing at Lukla airport, which is also the same for Everest Base Camp Trek.

Moreover, the Ama Dablam trail is a moderate trek as compared to the Everest Trek, whereas, for the Everest Base Camp trek, trekkers need to go further uphill for 4 days to reach the base camp of Everest.

Till Pangboche, the trail will be easygoing with the majestic views of the Himalayas and the surrounding hills and valleys of the Khumbu region, without any altitude worries.

Of course, trekking into the Himalayas includes ascending and descending all the way but in the context of the Ama Dablam trek, you will be following a smooth well-maintained trail through the forest into the Himalayas.

This will be with an extra day for acclimatization in Namche Bazaar before reaching Pangboche, which will help trekkers cope with the surrounding environment of the Himalayas.

Further, Pangboche is just 3,930 meters and is also the last overnight camp before heading to Ama Dablam Base Camp. Trekkers need to hike from Pangboche to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,600 m), this is a short 3-hour hike and a tea house awaits you.

All these make Ama Dablam trek an easy-going trail for all age groups and layman hikers as well.

Best Time to Trek Ama Dablam Base Camp

Ama Dablam Trek is a lower altitude trail as compared to the Everest Base Camp Trek (15 Days), so trekkers can trek to Ama Dablam Base Camp throughout the year.

The main trouble in the high Himalayas trek comes mainly during the winter when thick snow covers the trail but trekking to Ama Dablam is possible even during the winter season.

For the magnificent views, floral and fauna, and clear blue sky with the spotless Himalayas we recommend trekkers choose January-April and August-December for Ama Dablam Trek.

This time of the year will be a clear blue sky and higher visibility rate and no precipitation, and even in winter which is December and January, you will experience lesser snowfall due to lower altitude.

As the month of May-July is Monsoon season in Nepal, in Namche Bazaar (7 Day) trekkers will experience some rainfall, which makes the trail slippery. Further, the view of the Himalayas will not be clear due to clouds.

Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek Route

Ama Dablam Trek Route is the same as the Everest Base Camp, as both lie in the Khumbu/Everest region of Nepal. Trekkers will need to take a stunning domestic flight to Lukla and further hike to Ama Dablam Base Camp.

If you have a reserved day, you can spend a day extra at the tea house in Ama Dablam Base Camp itself, and if you are worried about the altitude you can spend the last night at Pangboche and hike 3-hours as a day tour to explore Ama Dablam Base Camp.

From Pengboche, the Everest trail passes further uphill for 4 days to reach Everest Base Camp, if you want to join the Everest trek.

The trail to Ama Dablam passes after landing at Lukla airport, this will take you to Phakding and then to Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar will also be your acclimatization place, spending two nights in Namche you will hike through Pangboche before reaching Ama Dablam Base Camp.

Further, through the same trekking route which you followed all the way uphill, you descend back to Lukla on the 2nd day, before taking a flight back to Kathmandu.

Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek Altitude

The altitude of Ama Dablam Base Camp is lower as compared to other base camp treks of the Everest region. Starting the trail from Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region, one can hike to the base camp of Ama Dablam in a relaxing way.

Ama Dablam Base Camp is a moderate trek taking you to the highest altitude of 4,600m from Lukla which is 2,840m just a three-day hike. This depends upon the stamina and physical level of trekkers.

Trekkers, after taking their flight from Kathmandu airport (1,350 m), land at Lukla airport (2,840 m) just in 30 minutes and hike continues to Phakding (2610M) for the first overnight in a lodge.

Acclimatizing self, the hike continues to enter Sagarmatha National Conservation Area and to Namche Bazaar(3,440 m) on the second day. Namche Bazaar is a popular well-organized town and center for trade in the entire Everest region. However, some trekkers prefer spending a night extra at Namche for acclimatization before heading towards a higher altitude.

From Namche, your journey ascends towards Pangbuche (3,930 m), this hike will be through the real Himalayas. Pangbuche is a popular destination to spend a night for trekkers who prefer to hike towards Mt. Ama Dablam Base Camp.

If you hike to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,600 m) you can spend a fabulous night under the sky with a twinkling star. Having an extra full day to observe Mt. Ama Dablam will be a great achievement. There are tea houses open throughout the year at the Ama Dablam Base Camp itself.

Finally, the trek will descend to Namche Bazaar (3,340 m) for an overnight stay and finally to Lukla (2,840 m), for the last night to spend in the Himalayas before you take the very next day's early flight to Kathmandu.

Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek food and Accommodation

Trekking to Ama Dablam Base Camp is a moderate trip leading you to the highest altitude of 4,600m at the base of Mt. Ama Dablam 6,812m. Throughout the trek, trekkers will be staying in a tea house/ lodge.

Tea houses/Lodge are popular overnight camps while trekking into the Himalayas of Nepal. Those are tourist standard rooms with two single beds, mattresses, bedsheets, pillows, blankets, and tea tables. The toilet and bathroom are normally not attached inside the room.

Some lodges will have attached toilets but normally at a lower altitude. However, lodges will have a bathroom on every floor and have to be used as a common bathroom. Apart from this, there will be a toilet and bathroom outside the hotel building, with the compound.

Foods are standard dishes cooked by professionals. Trekkers will have a menu to choose from their required items which vary from Nepali cuisine, Chinese, continental, Italian, Indian, etc. Food is always fresh and they cook after the trekkers' choice. So, this might take a bit longer.

Thus, dinner is ordered almost 2-3 hours before the time breakfast before bedtime, and lunch during the trekking. So be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes after your order for lunch. This applies to those cuisines which take time to cook.

What to Expect

Low Altitude Moderate Trek

Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek is a moderate trek into the Everest region leading you to the highest point of 4,600 meters at the base of Mount Ama Dablam (6812 Meters) itself, for the overnight stay in a comfortable tea house.

However, if you are worried about such an altitude to stay, the other option will be to stay at Pangbuche 3,930 meters and the next day start your day hike tour to Ama Dablam Base Camp for just 3 hours hike and explore around the base camp of Mt. Ama Dablam and have your lunch and descend towards Pangbuche for the night stay.

In addition to this, you will be able to explore the highest mountain Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, Mount Cho Oyu, and many more.

Extend towards other trails of the Everest Region

Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek will provide you with multiple options, this includes an extended trek to other areas of the Everest region.

If you have a sufficient number of days, you can extend your trek towards Gokyo Ri and Gokyo Lake, Everest Base Camp, and also the popular Three Pass Trek, and climbing some peaks will be more adventurous.

Amazing EBC trek

I did a private EBC trek visiting Kala Patthar and Ama Dablam base camp with Discover Altitude in November 2024. The trip was fantastic and my guide Teju was amazing! Kumar and Santosh (owner of the agency and his colleague) are super friendly, they greet you at the airport and drop you off when you’re leaving, you get a detailed trip briefing before you leave. My guide Teju was very helpful and knowledgeable, he does the best practices about acclimating to altitude and keeping his clients healthy with constant reminders about proper clothing and using your buff to avoid dust. We got back to Kathmandu without the infamous Khumbu cough! Booking the private trek was a great option for me as I could customize my itinerary any way I wanted and go at the pace that worked for me.
I very highly recommend Discover Altitude, they’re an amazing team and reliable and knowledgeable partners in Nepal!

Your search for a trekking company can stop here!

I can’t say enough great things about Kumar and Santosh at Discover Altitude. They set my trip up with minimal notice, even made some custom changes and everything went perfectly. They have great connections for everything tourism in Nepal. If you want a guide to show you around Kathmandu-they’ve got you. If you want to go for a trek-it’s their bread and butter. If you want to go for an expedition at half the cost of western companies with guides whose experience will blow your mind-easy day. Whether you’re planning a trip for next year or next week they will take care of you like family. They took the time to have tea with me and discuss my trip from start to finish over a map, they held my luggage safely while I was in the mountains, and they checked in at possible friction points (like flights) to make sure everything was going well.

I’ve heard horror stories from backpackers who used other companies and there are a ton around here. It was overwhelming for me to pick one, but Discover Altitude was recommended to me so I figured I’d give them a try. This is now the second trip they planned for me. I also recommended them to some friends who did a luxury Everest view trip with them and had nothing but good things to say. You can roll the dice and try someone else, but if you want to take the safe bet and know that you’ll have an amazing trip at a competitive price there’s no other option.

If you want to experience true, kind Nepali hospitality and a great trek, don’t look for another agency.

I had the incredible opportunity to complete 4 different treks with Discover Altitude: Three Passes, ABC, Annapurna Circuit and Langtang. Each time, the experience exceeded my expectations! The owners, Kumar and Santosh, along with their guides are exceptionally professional, knowledgeable and attentive to every detail. Everything was very well planned for all treks, and I felt safe even at the highest altitudes, thanks to their friendly and supportive guides.

There are many agencies to choose from, and I visited many, but when I met Kumar and Santosh the quality of their personalities quickly became evident. They treated me as a friend they genuinely wanted to support, not just a client, caring only about the money. Even if I hadn’t signed up, they would have treated me the same, not as potential or lost business. This authenticity is why I chose them! This was the only agency where I had that gut feeling, which turned out to be correct. They always went the extra mile. Before each trek, they spent a lot of time going through all the details with me to ensure I had everything I needed and was ready to go. They also checked up on me along the way. During all these times, they truly became my friends!

If you want to experience true, kind Nepali hospitality and a great trek, don’t look for another agency. They are also very competitively priced for both solo and group trips! I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Mustang - Kagbeni, Muktinath 6-day tour

We chose a 6-day course that tours Kagbeni and Muktinath, the gateway to Mustang from Kathmandu. It takes 3 days to actually walk, so it's a safe course even for beginners.

Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom (30-minute flight), then hike 3 hours to Kagbeni. Hike 5-6 hours to Muktinath. Return to Jomsom via a different route. Take a lunch break at Rupna on the way. Fly to Pokhara. Fly back to Kathmandu.

It was late May before the rainy season, but we were blessed with clear skies and were able to see the beautiful mountain ranges of Nilgiri and Annapurna. The desolate landscape of Mustang was very beautiful, and it was a very interesting experience to get a glimpse of the life of the villagers in Kagbeni.

It was quite hot during the daytime walks in late May. Short sleeves are fine. If you don't want to get sunburned, wear thin long sleeves. Since it gets cold in the mornings and evenings in Muktinath, I wore a light down jacket, but if you layer up a warm long sleeve jacket, you can wear a hiking jacket instead of a down jacket.

Our trekking guide, Amar, was very kind and not only guided us on hiking but also carefully explained the history and people's lives. (In English) He always took care to make the trek comfortable, and the walking pace was adjusted to suit our physical strength, so we were able to enjoy it without any strain.

Kumar handled advance reservations and questions, and he responded to emails very quickly. After arriving in Kathmandu, I visited the office and Kumar gave me a brief explanation of the schedule. In Kathmandu, Santosh handled my communications and accompanied me to the transfer between the hotel and the airport. Both of them were cheerful and kind.
During the tour, I asked to change my plan to stay in Pokhara for two nights after the trek (of course, the additional hotel fee was at my own expense), and I am grateful that he quickly and readily responded to my request, such as changing my flight on the return trip.

A short walk from Jomsom to Muktinath.

We had great dealings with Kumar and the team at Discover Altitude. Kumar was our initial contact, and Santosh was our day to day contact on-the-ground. Their communication was great, and everything went smoothly.

Before departing for Nepal, we emailed Kumar about what we had in mind, and he presented us with different options. We settled on a short trip from Jomsom to Muktinath - flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara and on to Jomsom the next day to commence our hike. (We took the same air-route in reverse on our way back.) In total, the trip was six or seven days, with three days hiking. (This worked out well due to our schedule, but next time we might spend a few more days walking.)

Our guide on the trip was Amar Magar. We really recommend him. (Ask for him by name!) He was thoughtful, organised, and provided clear information on what we were doing each day. His patience and pleasant manner made the trip really enjoyable.

The hike itself was good. The area from Jomsom to Kagbeni (where we stopped for the first night) was primarily along the road and the riverbed, and the scenery was primarily the dry and desolate scenery one might expect of the Mustang area. Kagbeni was a nice village to rest. (There are a number of tea houses, and an interesting temple where one of the monks showed us around.) The walk up to Muktinath the next day was a little bit tough - being a climb of about 1,000 meters. (Not 'technically' tough; more of a challenge due to low fitness levels!) After resting, we visited the Hindu pilgrimage site, which was quite an interesting experience as it attracts a lot of visitors. We stayed the night at a tea house in Muktinath, and then walked back to Jomsom via a different route, stopping at a village called Lupna on the way back. The route from Muktinath to Lupna was probably the highlight of our trip, with much more diverse terrain, including great alpine scenery, fantastic rocky cliffs and forests, and the picturesque village of Lupna itself, with a very old temple and some caves used for solitary retreats.

If you have limited time, then I would recommend the approach we took. It provides a glimpse of the Mustang region (without getting in to the Upper Mustang region, which requires more time and an expensive permit), and a taste of walking in the region. On our walk, we met a number of people who had walked the Annapurna Circuit, taking around two weeks. We might plan better and aim to do that next time!

In terms of practical considerations, noting it was mid-May, we found that we were able to walk in t-shirts and long pants. We carried a lot of warm clothing with us, but didn't need really it. (We were a bit cold briefly after arriving at Muktinath, but generally we didn't use our warm clothing. It would be smart to take something - but no need to take too much.) The bedding provided in the rooms was more than adequate, and we didn't need our own sleeping bags. (Taking a sleeping bag liner might suffice from a cleanliness perspective if this is a concern.)

A Once-in-a-lifetime EBC Trekking Trip

What a once-in-a-lifetime trek to EBC! Waking up at midnight to dogs barking or in the morning to birds chirping and singing and the sound of rushing river, looking out the window and seeing the mountain so close as if within reach, roaming around Namche Bazaar and checking out the local markets, setting off in the sound of school children's morning drill, crossing rivers and valleys over the suspension bridges, passing the mani stones in the villages and the stupas on the trail, watching porters with oversized load strapped on their heads stepping to the lively beat of loud Nepali songs, navigating rocks uphill inside the dark clouds and white-out snow, trekking on the winding trail through dusty forests, misty mountain passes, wide open scrub land, and rugged and rocky barren land, with the famous and mysterious mountain peaks seemingly around every corner or suddenly elusive behind the wandering clouds, and flying down in helicopter provided every moment to admire the mountainous landscape and appreciate local life in this harsh environment. It’s been almost two weeks since I came back yet the sceneries and sounds on the trail still linger.

The EBC trek was also grueling - the long distance, the high elevation, the thin air at times mixed with dust or animal smell, the coldness at night, the completely unpredictable weather that could change by the minute – and every little inconvenience could pile on the exhaustion from a long day of trekking, but the thoughtful services by my guide Krishna made all these bearable. Every day after arriving at the tea house he made sure food was ordered and I had a spot to sit next to the stove to warm up. Every morning before we leave the tea house, he made sure bill was paid and everything was packed and ready. On the trail he was patient, watchful, and protective when the yaks and horses approaching. My tour company Discover Altitude was very flexible and allowed me to change my trekking schedule on the fly, including booking tea houses during peak season and securing single room occupancy. In fact, the three unplanned tea houses in Jorsalle, Phungi Thenga, and Dughla, allowed me to enjoy the real serenity near nature and away from crowds. The company also booked a helicopter, outside of my original plan, to fly me out back in Kathmandu in time. Their flexibility was crucial for me to have a successful and enjoyable EBC trekking trip.

Thank you Krishna for your kind-hearted service.

And thank you Santosh for showing me the street food, the hidden temples, and the vibrant life around the old town of Kathmadu.

EBC with Amar, the best guide!!

I did the Everest Base Camp trek (8 days to reach EBC, Day 9 was to Kala Patthar). Started at the end of April and finished in May. We had great weather that time of year. The early days in the trek were warm enough for leggings and a lightweight shirt. A few people were in shorts. Day 7 was the first day I needed to wear down clothing items, gloves or a warm hat. Other days could be done with a baseball cap and a few layers - started the day with a windwall jacket and would switch to a vest or just my long sleeve dry fit top while trekking. The cardio keeps you pretty warm. Taking altitude sickness medication is key. Start taking it a day before you leave. We had no issue with altitude sickness but several people at the tea houses were not as lucky.

Kumar, the owner of Discover Altitude, organized everything for us and it was planned perfectly. He booked the best tea houses for us and everything was so well-organized that all we had to think about was making it to the top. Amar was our AMAZING guide. His brother Shukla was the porter. They were the nicest, most professional duo. Amar took very good care of us and it was obvious that he was one of the most well-respected guides on the trail. He knew everyone and was so experienced that we had a lot of tips and guidance that I don’t feel everyone else had on the mountain. Definitely request amar as your guide. We quickly realized how important the planning is and who your guide is for success on this trek.

Great experience and recommend doing Kala Patthar early the next morning for sunrise views of Everest!

Awesome 10 day EBC trekking experience

I’m towards the tail end of my 10 day EBC trek arranged by Discover Altitude. Overall, I’ve been very happy with the trip so far. Santosh did his best to make sure my trip went according to plan. He was also extremely accommodating to my request for alterations to itinerary during the trip. Always ready to help, no questions asked.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank my guide, Sandip Lama. He is an energetic and hardworking young man that went above and beyond to make me trip as comfortable as possible. He’s also flexible in accommodating my last minute change request. For example, when I saw Ama Dablam for the first time, I was blown by its beauty and came up with the idea of doing a side trip to its base camp. It’s require at least half a days time. Sandip agreed without any hesitation and helped with the trip planning. In the end, the side trip didn’t happen simply because I ran out of steam. As a guide, Sandip’s main responsibility is leading me with the trip. But he also offered to carry my bag when I got very tired. This is what I call above and beyond. Again, thank you Sandip and I hope we’ll embark on my adventures in the future!

FAQs

Q1. How difficult is Ama Dablam Trek?

Mt. Ama Dablam lies in the Everest Region/Khumbu region of Nepal; it is a short trek to be in one of the famous mountains of Nepal Mt. Ama Dablam. The highest elevation of the entire trek is the base camp of Mt. Ama Dablam which is 4,600 meters above sea level but the highest overnight camp is 3,930 meters which are Pangboche, from Pangboche trekkers hike to the base camp of Ama Dablam to explore.

This elevation makes Ama Dablam one of the easiest treks in terms of distance to be travelled and also the elevation to be hiked. Thus, making it a unique experience for any age group and solo trekkers to enjoy the thrill into the Himalayas.

Q2. Comparison between Mt. Everest Base Camp and Mt. Ama Dablam Base Camp Hike?

Mt. Everest and Mt. Ama Dablam both lie in the Everest or Khumbu region of Nepal. Mt. Everest is the highest mountain in the world with an elevation of 8,848 meters above sea level; it is one of the most desired trekking trails for trekkers into the base camp of Mt. Everest which is 5,364 meters.

Apart from its altitude, it takes 11-days to complete the EBC (Everest Base Camp) trek from Lukla to Lukla (gateway to Mt. Everest). On the other hand, Mt. Ama Dablam is 6,812 meters above sea level, and trekkers trek into the base camp of Mt. Ama Dablam which is 4,600 meters, it is a 7-day trek the base camp of Mt. Ama Dablam from Lukla to Lukla.

Moreover, fewer trekkers trek into the base camp of Mt. Ama Dablam, so it is less crowded more solitude.

Q3. How hard or difficult is to trek into the base camp of Mt. Ama Dablam?

Trekking/hiking into the base camp of Ama Dablam is far easier than into the Everest Base Camp both in terms of distance to be covered, time, and also the most important the elevation.

Any trekkers can easily trek into the Ama Dablam base camp in a more relaxing way, as the Ama Dablam base camp is not the busiest trail, so trekkers can enjoy the trek in a solitary way without being disturbed by overcrowded trekkers.

Only the thing which matters is the time for trekking if we want to avoid any unpredicted circumstance it is better to trek during the month of August-November and February-May.

Q4. Can we trek Mt. Ama Dablam and Mt. Everest base camp together?

Ama Dablam and Everest lie into the Everest/Khumbu region of Nepal, the trail into both the mountain i.e. Mt. Everest and Mt. Ama Dablam starts from Lukla and also the trail are same only the point here is Ama Dablam comes before Everest.

If we can manage a couple of days extra, we will be able to accomplish both the Ama Dablam and Everest base camp together. For trekkers who wish to complete Everest Base Camp, combining both the mountains will help to acclimatize.

So it will be better first to complete the Ama Dablam Base Camp and then head towards Everest Base Camp which will help any trekkers to acclimatize before being into the Everest and Kalapatthar.

Q5. What is the altitude of Ama Dablam Base Camp?

Mt. Ama Dablam which lies in the Everest region is one of the most beautiful mountains with an elevation of 6812meter/22349feet and the altitude of Ama Dablam Base Camp is 4600meters/15092feet but trekkers spend overnight in Tengboche 3930meters/12894feets.

From Tengboche, trekkers hike into the base camp of Ama Dablam because there is no other option to stay in the base camp but camping is possible, it depends upon the interest of the trekkers, as the expedition group uses tents and camp to spend a couple of night in the base camp before their summit into the Ama Dablam mountain.

Overnight in Tengboche which is a small village with tea houses and lodges will help trekkers to avoid any altitude sickness in the high Himalayas.
