Useful Info
Manaslu Circuit Budget Trek Difficulty
Manaslu circuit trek involves several uphill and downhill climbs.
Manaslu is of course a challenging trek and also the alternative trekking destination for Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit Trek. Manaslu remains to the north of Nepal bordering Tibet, making the Manaslu areas restricted for trekkers but trekkers can do the Manaslu circuit trek with a special permit which is easy to get through a locally based company in Nepal (only).
Budget Manaslu Circuit Trek is an off-the-beaten trail in Nepal leading you towards the remote area of the northern part of Nepal on the lap of the great Himalayas. This includes two conservation areas of Nepal i.e. Manaslu and Annapurna. This trail is blessed with an abundance of vegetation, natural beauties, Himalayas, snow-melted rivers, waterfalls, villages, monasteries, etc.
Budget Manaslu Trek has great variation, from different landscapes to diverse ethnic groups, to different climates to altitudes. Starting the trek from just 710 meters, you will reach the highest altitude of 5123 meters which is the pass on the Himalayas, also known as Larke La Pass.
Only the point here is the altitude which matters a lot for many trekkers, no matter how much time you have been to this altitude. Due to high altitude trekkers are directly exposed to sunlight, snow, and also the wind. All this sometimes creates trouble to lower our pace on the trail, this is due to almost no vegetation on the high Himalayas.
So to make your pace keep going in this sort of altitude, trekkers must be physically fit to keep on walking for almost 5-7 hours every day. This can be done by doing some pre- trekking exercises which will result in a fruitful return while trekking.
Further trekkers are advised to follow the long itinerary for Budget Manaslu Circuit Trek, this will help your body to acclimatize before reaching higher. This will further help to decrease the risk factor of suffering from altitude sickness.
Food and Accommodation in Budget Manaslu Circuit Trekking
Budget Manaslu Circuit Trek is becoming a popular trekking destination in Nepal for adventurous trekkers. As Budget Manaslu Circuit Trek will lead you towards the remote and off-the-beaten trail to the Himalayas.
So is a restricted area for trekkers, trekkers need a special permit to trek the Manaslu region bordering Tibet.
Unlike other popular trekking destinations of Nepal like the Everest region and Annapurna region, the Manaslu region is remote compared and offers only limited services to the trekkers because of the diffusely populated region when it comes to a higher altitude and the accessibility of any means of transportation is rare.
Due to all these factors, the Manaslu Circuit trail offers limited numbers of lodges and tea houses for trekkers, just like an old inn in the rural areas. This is somewhat a homestay type of lodge and tea house. The lodges and tea houses are run by local people with a limited number of selected items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
So trekkers are advised to carry a good quality sleeping bag according to season and also some energy bars, and they should be mentally prepared to eat local but hygienic food throughout the trail. Apart from food, water is also available throughout the trail, it is suggested to carry water purifying stuff to avoid paying higher for bottled mineral water.
Best Time to do Budget Manaslu Circuit Trek
Autumn and Spring provide clear mountain views during the trek to Manaslu Circuit.
Trekking in Nepal is possible throughout the year and Manaslu Circuit Trekking is not exceptional, as every season of the year carries its own variety and beauties. This totally depends upon the trekkers’ interests and time frame.
Apart from all this, Budget Manaslu Circuit Trek will be best mainly during Autumn and Spring. During the season of Autumn, which is September- to November, the sky is spotless clear with a blue border above the Himalayas. This is also regarded as the finest climate for the Manaslu Circuit Trek.
This is due to the clear vista of the Himalayas, and also the temperature is at its finest with neither too cold nor too hot and with doable snow above 3500 meters.
With Autumn, Spring is also the best season choice for many trekkers, this is because at the low altitude the forest is green and the farmland is filled with different varieties of crops and locals are busy on their farmland.
Different varieties of vegetation can be observed along with beautiful Himalayan flowers, among them rhododendron is one of the best to view. All this makes Autumn and Spring the best time for Manaslu Circuit Trek.
Budget Manaslu Circuit Trekking Itinerary
Budget Manaslu Circuit Trekking Itinerary depends upon trekkers’ time frame and also the interest, as trekkers can use local transportation to some extent to make it less time-consuming but to explore the off-the-beaten trail of the Manaslu region the best-followed trail will be of the 14-day trek.
As the Manaslu Circuit Trek is diverse in terms of beauty and also the altitude, trekkers are supposed to step, it is always recommended to maintain the pace with the altitude to avoid any possible danger of high altitude sickness because we will be heading from the altitude of 710 meters to 5123 meters, this makes your body to acclimatize to accomplish the Manaslu Base Camp Trekking.
The possible best-suited Budget Manaslu Circuit Trekking Itinerary can be:
Drive from Kathmandu to Machha Khola (900m)

A very special introduction to the culture of Nepal was given to me by Kumar, the manager of Discover Altitude. He was my guide for a few days and I was able to see extraordinary things and felt very comfortable in his presence. With great knowledge, he led me through all the temples of Kathmandu and we were also on the way outside. I was blessed with wonderful memories. Highly recommended team...
Fantastic, stupendous and superb
We two senior citizen friends (65) took a customized tour to Lower Mustang tour. In these 4 days and 3 nights trip transport, driver, and guide were provided by the agency. In the rough terrain all the way, the transport provided along with the driver Subhash negotiated the difficult road very efficiently and professionally. The guide Mr. Narain, a thoroughly professional guy with his immaculate English fed us all the necessary information and kept our morale high all along. We were very apt in customizing the trip as and when it was needed, without any hesitation. Can’t thank more to Santosh and Kumar who were at the helm of the affairs. Highly recommend them for their very professional service and care. Our best gratitude to Naran, the guide without him this trip would have been boring and futile.
Everest region hiking and cultural tour of Kathmandu
I just did excellent trekking tour in Everest region, very well organized by Discover Altitude company. The guides Amar and Suckre did fantastic job, both of them always positive and helpful. As well there was historical and cultural tour of Kathmandu which was really interesting with plenty of amazing places to visit. Kumar and Santos presented the activities with a lot of details and knowledge which gives additional value of the city tour. Super experience which I highly recommend.

THE BEST TRIP - Female Solo Traveller
It's hard to explain how amazing this trip was - and how integral Kumar and his team of Santos and Narayan was to the success of it. I found his name recommended time and time again on a fb group for solo female travellers.
I initially booked the 9 day EBC tour, and then stayed in Kathmandu for a week after. Not only was Kumar in touch with my during the trip itself, but he was there to answer any little question I had for about 2 months prior. I would WhatsApp him, and he would reply and explain everything to me. As a female solo traveller, this constant line of communication was so important to a feeling of safety.
He organised a yoga and meditation retreat, a Kathmandu city tour, a trip to Chitwan safari and finally a day tour to Bhaktapur - Kumar was there every step of the way. During the EBC trip, my guide Narayan was simply amazing - he has extensive knowledge of everything in the mountains, from how local communities work to altitude sickness.
I ended up having to be helicoptered out of there and went to hospital, where Santos and Kumar visited me twice in 24hrs, and really took care of me. Like I said, it's hard for me to express how much Kumar and his team MADE my trip. Kumar, Santos and Narayan, thank you so so much, you are the BEST!
Nepal Visit
Nepal is Amazing and our guide, Kumar made it even better. Our whole family enjoyed the trip and would love to go back .
