My wife and I, both 55+ years of age and reasonably healthy, were looking for a tour agency to help us trek to Namche Bazar. I came across Discover Altitude's website among others. All throughout my research for a suitable tour agent, Kumar-ji from Discover Altitude was extremely patient in answering all my never-ending questions in great detail. That's what made me pick Discover Altitude. And they didn't disappoint.

Kumar-ji and later, Santosh, were extremely helpful in helping us prepare for the trek. They gave plenty of reassurances to another couple joining us who had no prior trekking experience. Right from the moment we landed at Kathmandu until the time we left, Kumar-ji, Santosh and their team took genuinly good care of us and ensured that we had the best experience possible.

Look no further if you are looking for an agency to book a trek or anything you need in Nepal! At first, I only contacted Discover Altitude to book a jeep ticket to Bupsa where I started my Three Passes trek. At the office, Kumar and Santosh were so friendly, helpful and genuine that later I even ended up booking a porter guide with them. And they did not disappoint! The guys were checking on me all the time, they were always a phone call away if i needed anything or when I had issues like when I had to change jeep in Salleri and the jeep organiser was keep refusing me to get on the jeep as my ticket was purchased at the counter and couldn’t make extra cash on me, Kumar sorted it out from afar so I can get on the next one. They also arrange last minute flight booking on the way back, everything you need.

And Pratap, my porter guide! I even had tears when we said goodbye! He was the sweetest person ever and my motivation. He had excellent knowledge of the trail, the mountains and a great trekking companion. I usually like trekking alone and he gave me space to enjoy the surroundings alone. He wasn’t too much like other guides who literally hold your hands all the time and try to be your mum away from your mum :). I say this from previous experience at Annapurna and hearing other trekkers’ feedback of their guides, they often cut off all your interactions with locals at the lodges and leave you with no independence.

We went up to Hotel Everest View Point with Discover Altitude. The company had made all the necessary arrangements before we landed in Nepal. Kumar and Santosh had planned every day of the trip so meticulously. Santosh, our guide, accompanied us throughout the trip and to be honest I could complete this trek only because of his support and guidance. He held my hand and gave me the required confidence to climb through. The two porters, Krishna and Bhakta, arranged by Discover Altitude were so kind and friendly and served us with fresh hot food with a beautiful smile on their face all through this trip. I strongly recommend Discover Altitude who manage everything flawlessly.

Discover Altitude was the most attentive company I have ever worked with! AMAZING! Kumar and Amar made me feel like I was the most important person in their life. Amar our guide would have given us the shirt off his back if we asked. Very attentive to all our needs. Kumar also help us with queries that were not a part of our trek. Kumar would respond to all emails within 24 hours and always gave me very detailed information. I never got a "no" from this company. The customer service from Discover Altitude was truly above and beyond. I will be returning to the Himalayas and I wouldn't choose any other company to work with. My only complaint would be they feed us too much food, but it was delicious!!!

Our trip to Nepal was an adventure! Amar our guide was great and took care of us every step of the way to make sure we were comfortable and safe . Santosh and Kumar the owners , came by to say their goodbyes and treated us with hospitality and gratefulness and I can’t say thank you enough!

This was an amazing trip to Nepal!! We plan on coming back to the region to do more trekking with Discover Altitude and our best guide Amar!! Everyday was an adventure to be remembered!!

My experience with Discover Altitude began long before our trip. Santosh was amazing - we told him what we wanted to do and he arranged it all for us. He booked the tickets and also collected them for us. This was so much easier than us working out what we needed to do at the airport!.
Santosh met us at the airport with a board with our names on and welcome flower necklaces and drove us to our hotel.
Each evening he contacted us by WhatsApp to confirm details for the next day. He rearranged our trips to suit the weather.
The day after we arrived we were collected and taken to the airport where Santosh gave us our tickets for a return flight to Lukla, he told us where to go and how to check in. He waited all day at the airport for us as the return flight was delayed.
The next day we went on a helicopter trip to Everest View Hotel - we would have gone to Kala Patthar but it was very cloudy so unfortunately we didnt go.But the trip was excellent anyway. We had an amazing time and Santosh came with us to check we were ok at altitude, and we only stayed about an hr due to the weather and altitude. We had an excellent breakfast at the hotel.
The next day was meant to be our mountain flight to see the Himalayas, but Santosh booked the mountain flight for each day and then he cancelled the worst days so we could get the best day. So the day was spent at Patan Durbasquare and Bhaktapur Durbarsquare, which was a brilliant insight into how Buddhism and Hinduism were born.
The following day was Full day Sightseeing :
Chandragiri Hills by Cable car - To see aerial view of Kathmandu and surrounding mountain but again sadly it was raining,
Next was the Monkey Temple which was brilliant - so big and so many temples and the monkeys are amazing. We learned that monkeys are excellent swimmers!.
Next was the Pashupatinath Temple where we saw how the local people cremate their dead.
Last was a tour around the outside of Bouddhanath Stupa which is great for shopping.
Our guide for these 2 tour days (Kumar) was extremely knowledgeable.
We asked if he knew where the RV café was which has great views of the airport.He made some calls and asked the driver to go by there so that we would know where it was.
Our final day was the best for weather so Santosh again took us to the airport and made sure we got our tickets for the mountain flight. This was the highlight of the trip. The flight was approximately 1 hr with Shree airlines who were amazing and gave us guides to the mountains so that each one can be identified and the cabin crew pointed out each mountain to us including Everest!. The weather was excellent. Everyone had a window seat and the plane turned around and went back the same way so that everyone on each side of the plane had a great view.
Santosh was brilliant re-arranging our flight for this day. We couldnt thank him enough.
He collected us from the airport and took us to the R.V Cafe where he told us to let us know when we wanted to be collected.
On our departure day both Santosh and Kumar both came to the airport with us to see us off. A really nice touch! They even gave us beautiful Nepali silk scarves.
We had the best time ever - all thanks to Santosh, Kumar and the drivers.
So if you are thinking of going to Nepal then you check out Discover Altitude. They will make sure you have the best time.

We asked if he knew where the RV café was as we wanted to go and watch the planes there overlooking the end of Tribhuvan Airport - he made some calls and asked the driver to go by there so that we would know.
Our final day was the best for weather so Santosh again took us to the airport and advised us how/where to check in for our mountain flight - which was simply amazing - the day was brilliant - the flight was approximately 1 hr with Shree airlines who were amazing and gave us guides to the mountains so that each one can be identified and the cabin crew pointed out each mountain to us including the big mamma - Everest! So clear - we could not have been happier - everyone had a window seat and the plane turned around and went back the same was so that everyone on each side of the plane had a great view. Without the knowledge and help of Santosh - we would not have seen anything at all!
When the mountain flight was over we were taken to RV café and collected later.
We were taken to the airport the next morning for our flight home and were given beautiful Nepali silk scarves.
We had the best time ever - all thanks to Santosh, Kumar and the drivers.
