The Best Time to Trek Annapurna Region

Despite its altitude, the Annapurna Region can be explored throughout the year. However, there are some restrictions as well. This is because the lower area of the Annapurna region receives heavy rainfall during the Monsoon. This happens in June, July, and August.

Trekking or Hiking during this time of the year to the lower altitude is not recommended because the trail gets sleeper and the view of the Himalayas is not praiseworthy.

However, trekking to the Mustang and Manang areas of the Annapurna during the Monsoon is possible because those areas receive comparatively less rainfall.

Overall, if one is planning for the Annapurna region trek, then Autumn and Spring are highly recommended.
